KATIE WOLF

WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA

Katie Wolf is a collage artist based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. With over 10 years of experience in gallery and art museum work, she currently works at the Reynolda House Museum of American Art and is an adjunct faculty in Arts Management at the UNC School of the Arts. She has been on the board of advisors for Art Nouveau Winston-Salem and Sawtooth Center for Visual Art, and is an active member of REACH Winston-Salem and the Women’s Fund of Winston-Salem.

Katie graduated with Honors in Studio Art from Wake Forest University and has an MBA from UNC Greensboro. Katie Wolf’s work explores how ripping, tearing, and cutting—actions we associate with destruction and ruin—create new relationships between materials. Her collages preserve the decay of found, often ephemeral, materials and reward those who look closely in search of connections.
