EMELIE WEBER
Emelie Weber Wade is a weaver and fiber artist known for her one-of-a-kind, handwoven wearable art. Inspired by blooms and bugs, she designs intricate patterns and brings them to life on 4 and 8-shaft looms. As a collection, Emelie’s textiles work together to evoke an imaginary garden, where individuality is celebrated within an interconnected ecological system. Emelie weaves in small batches, using sustainably-minded cellulosic and natural materials to create vibrant, soft, and high-quality slow fashion garments and accessories.
Emelie found her passion for textile design and handwoven cloth as a production weaving apprentice at Berea College, where she also studied fibers. Now based in Asheville’s River Arts District, Emelie continues to weave in her public studio at Pink Dog Creative, captivating admirers with her distinctive design style and commitment to craftsmanship.
