I come from a family of ‘Creative Makers’. During my teenage years I began with macrame, wood, and silver jewelry. As a young adult I focused on building a career in the corporate world, and used my free time outside as much as possible. In my thirties surgery forced me out of the corporate world and into the unknown. To facilitate my recovery, I created my first garden. That soon exploded into a magical world of planting and discovery. It renewed my fascination with the beauty of nature and opened my eyes to texture. In 2010 my brother and I began researching and developing what could be done with steel and nature. At the time he was designing and building furniture in his factory in NC. This gave us easy access to a spray booth. Together we developed Spritz Steel to create and sell foliage and fiber oxidized imprinted steel art. For ten years we worked with steel until the sale of my brother’s furniture company in 2019. I began taking jewelry classes in 2017 as I was interested in expanding my metal. I fell back in love with silver fabrication and am thrilled to run my own small business, Spritz Fire and Ice.
