My work predominately focuses on landscape and elements of the natural world. Through expressive mark-making I strive to create the feeling of the quiet interactions we have with nature.
I graduated with a BFA in Art Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 2012. In 2013 I was awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in San Juan, Argentina. There I worked in community arts with local preschool programs. When I returned to the states I continued to make art while focusing on my career as an elementary art teacher at a public school in Memphis, Tennessee.
In 2016 I moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina where I taught art at a local elementary school. I currently paint in my studio in downtown, Winston-Salem and teach classes at Sawtooth School for Visual Arts.
I live with my husband and 3 young children. Some of my favorite things are hiking, being outside, spending time with my family, and exploring new places.
