ABOUT HANNAH GOFF
Hannah Goff is a North Carolina based artist and designer working through the lens of interiors with a thoughtful perspective. She creates sewn fabric paintings, custom lighting and art objects for the home. These elements, when combined, create a cohesive textural narrative throughout the domestic space.
She draws inspiration from the intersecting histories of abstract painting, quilting and furniture design. The relationship between art and everyday life is at the center of her work, informing the continually evolving exploration of materiality and atmosphere in the domestic space.
In her fabric paintings texture and tonality are at the heart of the works. By working with materials that have a past life, she is able to create paintings that touch on various points in visual time and evoke feelings of past and present. The lighted works are created using ceramic, plaster and wood, sometimes combing multiple materials to enhance the textural narrative.
Each piece is unique.
